Two street lights are out on Dean Street, leaving the east end of the block beetween Flatbush and 6th Avenue dark. The lights are located within the 38th 6th Avenue construction site. Obviously, besides leaving the street and sidewalks dark, since Barclays Center's entrance is located nearby, it is also darker than it ought to be.
A resident from the block came to our block association meeting on October 26th to complain, and it is my impression a complaint was filed at that time. The lights were still out last night. Today 311 confirmed there already is an outstanding complaint about the problem and made a note with my complaint that the problem is still unresolved. The work order is 3319200.
Although the Barclays Center employees regularly cluster across the street from the arena to smoke, they cluster near the lit homes of residents or under the operating street light that is located there. It isn't clear to me what arena employee has the job of ensuring the area is suitably maintained.
