Noise from construction site at nights on Dean Street between Vanderbilt and Carlton Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Location:
Dean Street between Vanderbilt and Carlton Avenues
When:
October 7, 2011 - 1:45am

I was awoken from sleep by loud noise at 1.45AM on Friday 10/7/11. I looked out of my bedroom window which faces Dean Street and observed for several minutes a bulldozer picking up rocks from the construction site and dumping them into a dumpster. Aside from the noise this work created the annoying beeps of the bulldozer whenever it backed up made me want to go out and throw rocks at the operator.

Is it asking too much for tax paying citizens to get a proper night's sleep in their home? Is this the beginning of the end? I wonder how Mr. Ratner would feel if it were himself and his family being deprived of a well deserved undisturbed night of sleep after a hard day's work.

This has been ungoing for quite sometime during the last year and nothing is apparently being done about it. This situation needs to be addressed. If it continues I will have no other recourse than to take more drastic action.
