2012-08-08 Father, baby pram & pedestrians forced into traffic lanes by arena construction workers blocking sidewalk
Father pushing baby pram & pedestrians (with back to traffic so they can’t see traffic coming at them) again forced into traffic lanes by arena construction workers blocking the entire sidewalk. The west side of 6th between Dean St & Pacific is closed. The supervisor just stands there & takes pictures of photographer instead of tending to the safety of residents.
Previous & continued disregard for pedestrian safety.
2012-08-08 construction damages traffic & light pole - no flaggers cause children to walk in traffic busy 6th Ave
Arena construction truck damages traffic signal/light pole @ NE corner of 6th Ave & Pacific St; construction workers put yellow tape around area & closed off sidewalk but doesn’t have a flagger to help children/pedestrians maneuver around the dangerous situation; pedestrians had to walk into the street into traffic. Officers from the 78th helped the residents by communicating with the unresponsive arena personnel to make the area safer.

2012-07-02 Barclays construction workers make pedestrians some with children walk thru active excavation equipment area
BOTH sides of 6th Ave sidewalks between Pacific St & Dean St are now blocked with NO PRIOR notice to the community that the east side was also blocked. What appears to be the job site supervisor or foreman is more interested in taking pictures of photographer than flagging, minding or assisting mothers with children, the elderly & other pedestrian’s safely thru an active construction excavating area.
