Greenland/FCRC fail to disclose 5 am start time of installation of 10 murals; bike lanes blocked Thursday the 13th

Location:
Dean Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt
When:
August 15, 2015 - 5:00am

Greenland/FCRC Partners failed to give notice to the residents on Dean Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt Avenues that installation of the Pacific Park Arts murals would start at 5 am, and that the use of hydraulic lifts during that time could be noisy.  The community notice disseminated is attached.  It says simply that the street would be closed for the day.  Because the notice was thin in detail, on Tuesday preceding the event I asked a FCRC representative for any additional information they could provide.

Concrete delivery blocks Dean/Vanderbilt intersection; information about work couldn't be more limited

Location:
In and around the Dean/Vanderbilt intersection
When:
August 13, 2015 - 3:30pm

A large delivery of concrete was made to the 550 Vanderbilt site using an entrance to the site in the Dean/Vanderbilt intersection rather than the Pacific Street entrance.  To use the entrance the trucks had to be backed through the gate, requiring the closure of the Vanderbilt/Dean intersection with the use of flaggers.  A concrete truck was also witnessed entering the Pacific Street entrance from Vanderbilt via the north bound traffic lane.

Posillico Tully truck parked in no standing zone; undisclosed/illegal method of entering site detailed

Location:
South Portland Avenue
When:
August 18, 2015 - 8:15am

A Posillico Tully truck was standing/parked in a no standing zone on South Portland Avenue below Atlantic Terrace waiting to enter the Atlantic Avenue work area this morning.  Specifically, the truck was located on the northeast corner of the Atlantic Avenue/South Portland intersection pointed in the direction of the traffic.  South Portland is not a legal truck route and is not included in the truck protocols as a truck route, so the truck was not only parked illegally it was on an illegal route.  It was standing/parked right below a residential condominium complex.

"Another NJ very tall truck hit the tree. He had 3ft + from the green wall! He just forced the truck through.  Why won't they close this block to truck/bus traffic????"

Late night work on 535 Carlton with late notice; cement truck down Carlton Avenue

Location:
535 Carlton and Carlton Avenue generally
When:
July 27, 2015 - 7:58pm

A cement pour continues to take place tonight at 535 Carlton Avenue.  There was no notice of the late night work before the work took place -- I stumbled on it trying to identify where the noise was coming from.  I documented it at 6:15 PM and again at 7:15 PM.   You can see the fellow with the orange vest sending a text in the video below. A community notice from the Pacific Park Community Liaison, but not the State went out at 6:45.

Tree damage on Dean suggests truck impact

Location:
south side of Dean Street west of Carlton Avenue
When:
June 13, 2015 - 4:12pm

Two trees were damaged (one significantly) on Dean Street west of Carlton Avenue this weekend.  My understanding is the damage occurred on Saturday sometime, (or at least was first observed on Saturday).  The damage is high up in the case of both trees.  One tree lost a large branch and another tree is scraped similarly to the trees previously damaged by trucks on Carlton and Dean Streets.  If the damage was from a truck, it must have been a tall one.

Cement Truck exits at Dean & Carlton gate

Location:
Dean St. & Carlton
When:
May 28, 2015 - 3:32pm

The green fence gate at the corner of Dean & Carlton is being used regularly for cement deliveries, neighbors say, and just happens that I've seen 2 in the last 2 days. Is this exit from the gate onto Carlton part of the new exception as well?
