Uncontained food waste/garbage at construction site
An uncovered dumpster in the construction site where the removal of the south retaining wall is taking place contains food waste. The dumpster appears to also hold a mix of office equipment and construction debris.
Keeping food waste separate and contained was part of the plan detailed to the community to keep the rodent population down in 2011. There was no change in the status of the dumpster between the 7th and the 11th of July. It may have been in this location for some time.
Rail yard construction garbage
This garbage (see photo) in the B4 footprint has been in the same location on a continuing basis for months. The garbage is caught in fencing surrounding LIRR rails.
Construction equipment on Dean Street between 6th & Carlton
Heard a very loud piece of machinery drive past my home. Went outside and saw what appeared to be the machine used to remove pavement, closely followed by a large semi truck.

Cement trucks for B2 pour using Bergen Street
Multiple yellow NYCON concrete trucks used Bergen Street between Vanderbilt Avenue and Flatbush Avenue this afternoon to deliver concrete for the foundation of Building B2 on Dean Street between Flatbush and 6th Avenues. Bergen Street is an MTA bus route, has a busy bike lane, is a residential street, is adjacent to the well-used Dean Street Playground, passes the 78th Precinct House, and is not a designated NYC truck route, as are Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues.

Vibrations from Vanderbilt Rail Yard construction felt in my home
Although this is the first time I've reported this on AYW, I've been feeling the vibrations for the past month in my home on Dean Street near Carlton Avenue. At times, the vibrations are so strong that pictures on my wall and dishes in my kitchen cabinets can be seen and heard moving.
