 2011-12-19 Barclays Arena construction trucks creating very hazardous condition by parking & blocking traffic on Public Street Atlantic Ave - Official flaggers fail to control Barclays Arena construction dump trucks creating very hazardous condition blocking (by parking) entire lane (Public Street) of only a two lane roadway in an already highly congested traffic area while illegally idling. The east bound traffic was blocking pedestrian’s crossing @ Flatbush & Atlantic because they had to merge to the north lane to pass the 4~5 parked trucks.

NYC Dept conformation number to start surveillance of Barclays Arena & Vanderbilt Rail yards for continued dumping of toxic hazardous materials; tires, lead car batteries, paint & urine;
311 explained that the property owner is responsible for removal.

What appears to be highly explosive propane cylinders in back of arena contractor’s pickup truck parked across from a 171 unit residential building, if they are propane cylinders, then why is there a need to bring commercial hazardous materials like highly explosive propane cylinders unnecessarily within a residential neighborhood footprint?

Rail Yard work for Barclay’s arena violates the EIS & NYC Air Quality standards and ESDC’s & FCR’s continued failure to monitor to ‘prevent’ ongoing quality of life issues including air quality. This has been going on the last few days.
The amount of dust is so choking to the worker using a water hose to water he abandoned that tactic.
